Remission Nutrition Presents First Annual Memorial Brunch Fundraiser
Remission Nutrition, a chef-curated, vegan meal prep company geared towards cancer patients, survivors, and those suffering from autoimmune diseases, is hosting its first annual memorial brunch fundraiser. Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, the event takes place at The Den Kitchen + Bar in Fort Lauderdale, FL, from 12 pm-4 pm.
Remission Nutrition proudly states they are “a company grown straight from the heart,” but the truth is it goes much deeper. The inspiration for Remission Nutrition is one that sprang from heartbreak! Founder Anthony Florio, who lost his sister to colon cancer a decade ago, and partner Cheryl Goff who lost her brother to Leukemia in June of 2020, joined forces to turn their pain into positivity that genuinely helps others!
The memorial brunch on January 22nd is the second recent fundraising event for Remission Nutrition and is in honor of Cheryl’s brother Elliot Goff’s would be 29th birthday! The proceeds from the event ticket sales will be donated to buying healthy plant-based meals for families of survivors. The first charity event in December of 2021 was a massive success, where Remission Nutrition was able to help over 100 families during the holidays!
At the “Den,” the event’s location is a popular and lively location in Fort Lauderdale, perfectly suited for the memorial brunch. A purchased ticket will cover both unlimited food and drinks for the duration of the event. The link for buying tickets can be found below.
Cheryl Goff of Remission Nutrition has this to say about the upcoming event, “We’re very excited for the memorial brunch, after experiencing such success from our first event; one we had very little time to prepare for, we are greatly anticipating the turnout and hope to help even more families in need down here in south Florida. A healthy plant-based diet can really work wonders for those in remission; for many affording such a diet may not be very feasible; it fills my heart to be able to help those who are less fortunate.”
Cheryl and Anthony have teamed up with several sponsors to bring the event to life. One crucial partnership that helped them expand their reach was with owners Steven Bis and Justin Davenport of Best Buds, a website promoting another plant-based alternative to standard pharmaceuticals for sleep and anxiety relief. Tickets for the event can be purchased online here.
